One Comment on ““Largest Searchlight in the World on Echo Mount, Calif.” Postcard”
If the designers of the Titanic and Olympic had any brains in their skulls they would have included one of these on the the bow and
on the stern of the ship. Guess what__they would have spotted the Iceberg much sooner and avoided the collision__unless, they
were supposed to sink the ship! Also, the Titanic cost about 7 million and this searchlight cost about 10,000 us dollars and that
is about 2 percent of the total cost of the ship. If the ship was unsinkable wouldn’t they include a few high powered search lights?
Echo Mtn searchlight came from the Chicago World’s Fair from when? 1893? When was the Titanic and Olympic constructed?
1908? Hmmm? Makes a thinking man wonder. Maybe those ship builders in Bellfast, Ireland were retarded or something or maybe
the ships were built to be sunk?
